Over 500 free-range laying hens producing fresh eggs daily. Our poultry operation provides natural pest control across the property while generating premium organic eggs for local markets and the on-site community.
Rhode Island Reds, Barred Plymouth Rocks, and Ameraucanas selected for heat tolerance and consistent egg production. Free-range across designated paddocks with mobile coops rotated weekly to prevent overgrazing and distribute natural fertilizer evenly across pastures.
Chickens serve triple duty: egg production for revenue, pest control across farming zones (reducing need for pesticides), and manure production that feeds our vermiculture operation. Chicken manure is the highest-nitrogen input for our worm farm, accelerating vermicompost production.
500+ hens producing 400-450 eggs daily. Sold as premium free-range organic eggs at local farmers markets, to restaurants in El Paso, and within the on-site residential community. Average price of $6-8 per dozen for pasture-raised organic eggs.
